Possessions insurance
Cooperation with us in the field of possessions insurance brings great benefits for our clients.
We assure full insurance protection. We lower the costs of insurance.
When entering into cooperation with each of our clients we carry out an insurance audit. We analyse the current state of insurance protection (existing types of insurance possessed, terms of insurance, etc) as well as auditing the business risk and we then make a comparison. The summarised results of the audit are given to the client in writing. We personally bear the cost of the insurance audit.
Next, supported by this, we enter into negotiations with a number of different insurers, who then begin to compete with each other. After the completion of negotiations we prepare a document containing detailed descriptions of the coverage offered by each insurer which is precisely tailored to our client’s needs and recommendations. On this basis the client makes a decision regarding the most beneficial insurance offer.
Thanks to this, the client gains professional information about the risks carried and a suggested format of complex insurance program for his own enterprise, as well as a list of offers containing the different insurance premium quotes. In this manner our undertakings simultaneously assure the most beneficial insurance terms and a reduction in the cost of insurance cover.
We negotiate more beneficial insurance condititions.
Thanks to our efforts, clients can benefit from more suitable insurance conditions than they can expect from standard insurer’s offers, as well as better general terms of insurance. Several examples can be seen below.
| Standard insurer's offer | Conditions negotiated by us |
|---|---|
|
The standard term for reporting damage in the general terms of insurance is 3 days. Failure to do so can even lead to a refusal to pay damages. |
During negotiations we extend this term which is of great benefit to clients. |
|
Related to damages there is often the necessity to dispose of remains. Disposal costs are, as a standard, counted in the insurance sum, which means that in some cases the insurance sum can become exhaustive. |
We write into insurance agreements a personal liability limit regarding the cost of disposal. In such cases the client has a known fixed sum at his disposal which facilitates the management and diposal of the results of damage. |
|
In the case where the declared insurance value is less than the actual value of the insured items, they can become, as it is known, „uninsurable”. In such cases, where damage occurs, the insurer proportionally lowers the damages paid out. |
We ease the results of "uninsurables" by introducing appropriate clauses allowing the client a certain margin of error when estimating the value of insured items. |
|
Standard insurance revenue systems work on a fixed sum basis which is neither beneficial nor convenient for the insured party. |
We change the method of insurance to a significantly more beneficial system of changeable sums. |
|
A common lack of cover in cases of non-aggravated theft. |
We introduce non-aggravated theft into the insurance contract. |
|
Graffiti, as an act of vandalism, is not generally covered by insurance. |
We extend terms to include so-called 'aesthetic damage' |
|
In agreement with the general conditions of insurance, the insurer has the right of recourse to the employee who caused the damage, which is not a comfortable situation for the insured party. |
As a result of our undertakings the insurer relinquishes this right to recourse. |
|
Cover for portable electronic equipment is limited to a certain place of usage. |
We extend coverage for portable equipment in Poland, Europe and around the world. |
|
Civil responsibilty is held in cases of non-accidental damage and these are not covered by the insurance. |
We extend the insurance cover in cases of non-accidental damage where the employee does not represent the firm. |
|
Standard terms of insurance of goods in transport (cargo insurance) are based upon national insurance conditions. |
We insure goods in transport under the conditions of the so-called London institutional clause, the widest terms of insurance. |
|
The general terms of building insurance do not cover all aspects and phases of the investment process. |
We extend the insurance terms and make the insurer omit so-called 'restrictive clauses' |
|
Damages occurring as a result of a lack of access to one’s firm, due to damage to a neighbouring property owned by a third party, are not covered by insurance. |
We introduce a limit of liability in the case where damage occurred due to a lack of access to the firm. |
These are only a few examples. Thanks to our efforts, insurance conditions are significantly better than those which are offered as a standard by insurance companies.
We simplify complicated insurance procedures.
Standard insurance procedures can be complicated and time-consuming, they can involve many difficulties; not fulfulling certain formalities can threaten failure to pay out in future cases of damage. We negotiate with insurers a simplified method of service for our clients. Below are several examples of simplified procedures.
| Standard insurance prodecures | Procedures negotiated by us |
|---|---|
|
Each new item must be individually reported and added to the insurance or it does not become covered by the insurer. |
We set up more flexible procedures. Newly-acquired items are automatically insured in advance. |
| Insurers are not obliged to remind clients of due payment dates, installments and approaching dates of policy expiration. | RKB – thanks to implented IT systems – reminds clients in advance of payment terms and dates of policy expiration. |
| Standard payment terms of insurance rates are 7 to 14 days from the start date of the insurance contract. | RKB negotiates more flexible terms suited to the client’s needs. |
|
In goods-in-transit insurance there is a deposit fee which must be settled after policy exipiration and in some cases the insured party is liable to pay a surcharge. |
We limit the surcharge amount or make the insruer omit this from the policy in cases where there has been no damage during a given period. |
| Standard insurance conditions anticipate full claim procedures regardless of the amount of damage. | RKB introduces clauses which simplify claim procedures in the case of minor damage. |
| Insurers frequently anticipate a rise in the cost of insurance when fees are paid in installments. | RKB negotiates the possibility to pay in installments without downpayments or interest. |
| Insurers have their own demands regarding anti-theft and anti-fire measures, which can be onerous for the client. | RKB always negotiates whilst having the acceptance of security measures from the client. |
